It's dangerous to go alone - Heheheh! How could I skip on such an opportunity to make a quick Zelda reference?

The weapons are, I think, not very well designed. None of them. Evil Winston's lasersword doesn't look particularly impressive. But it turns out that designing cool-looking axes is harder than I thought, especially if I'm pressed for time and lazy. Not a good combination.

I think the weapons will mostly be used for comedy value instead of any actual fighting - April's going to enjoy bonking Winston on the head with a blunt axe, and that dagger has an incredible comedic mileage. We'll worry about that later, though.

This is the last we will see of the creepy wizard, at least for the timebeing, which is a shame. He might pop back at the end to stare intensely at two of the characters at the same time, but I'm not certain yet. His important step in the narrative is complete.

You might be interested to know that Special Level is following the traditional Hero's Journey storyline. Hercules, Beowulf, the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and the New Testament, among many others, all follow this pattern. In the Hero's Journey, a wise old teacher gives the hero the weapon or power to defeat the evil that threatens the world: Father Christmas gives the Pevensie children swords and bows and stuff in The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Christ receives the keys of the Priesthood from Moses and Elias on the Mount of Transfiguration. Obiwan gives Luke his father's lightsaber. And in my story, the creepy wizard gives everyone but Winston cool new toys.

The only reason I'm telling you all this is so that you'll think I'm deep. I hope it's working.
