- I don't know how many people there are in the world who teach English for a hobby, rather than for profit. I, however, until very recently held a free English as a Second Language class for some friends at university, because that's just the kind of weird guy I am. I've actually been teaching pro-bono English classes since 2007, some classes having as many as forty students. One thing I've discovered in all my time doing this, is that English is rediculously hard. It's been deliberately designed so that you can spot an outsider at fifty paces - if not by their grammar, then by their accent. If someone's English is innaccurate according to the rules you and your people follow, you're no doubt very tempted to ridicule them - even if they're speaking Queen's English and your community belches out some kind of Southern States drawl. There we go, see? I'm making fun of how someone else speaks English. I just can't help it - it's what English is there for.

I imagine that to a Troll, whose native tongue is mostly made up of grunting, scratching and the occaisional flatulent exclamation mark, the words "cow" and "human" sound awfully similar - both involve using the tongue significantly more than is comfortable.

  Accents

I was raised in the South...it makes me sad that I *still* don't have a Southern Accent...I just have a *generic* American Accent that doesn't place me from *anywhere.* And British Accents rock.

No worries, I often get two, too and to mixed up.

If you want to be evil and mess with the mind of someone learning English, tell them to make a sentence with the words:
two, too, to, which, witch, red, read, sea and see.
(But don't write it on the board)
Darkside points gained!

English is definitely a ridiculously difficult language.

Troll is still adorable, though.
