- So, I had an interesting experience this past week - I taught a short drawing class to some eleven-year-olds. I went down pretty much the way other comic artists have already described.

It was wonderfully easy to impress them. I drew a pair of creased-up, angry eyes, and judging by the noises they made I might as well have been juggling flaming torches. I drew a member of the class very, very quickly, and they all exclaimed that I'd got him exactly, perfectly right. It was a wonderful little boost to my ego and, coming in the same week as Special Level's nomination for a SJ Award, I am now fully convinced that I am the greatest artist who ever lived. Except, maybe, most other artists.

So, the moral of the story is: if adults are unimpressed by your mad skillz, show some kids instead and they'll probably be slightly more impressed.

Because they're kids. They don't know any better.

Kids are awesome like that, yes.

On a more comic-related note, I don't know what would frighten me more--an undead entity moaning incoherently, or said undead entity suddenly becoming coherent.

Also, I actually voted for Special Level earlier, and I almost never take the time to bother to do that sort of thing, so...feel honored.
